Ink Spilling and Pixel Piling: An Adventure for Young Writers

Ink Spilling and Pixel Piling is a summer writing day camp that gives young writers a place toink spilling image explore and celebrate writing. Campers will experience the power of their creating as they create and share work with mentor authors like playwrights Mark Medoff and Amy Lanasa, and teachers of writing from The Borderlands Writing Project. The week will end with a special Friday evening reading featuring the work of Ink Spilling and Pixel Piling campers.

The camp is limited to 25 writers.

Sponsored by the NMSU English Department and The Borderlands Writing Project.


Who: 7th-12th graders
When: June 22-26
Time: 10:00 am-4:00 pm daily (snacks provided | campers should bring sack lunches)
Where: NMSU Clara Belle Williams Hall, room 229
Cost: $50 (limited scholarships available)

Please download the “Ink Spilling Registration Form” below. Once you’ve completed the required information, you can email the form to Patti Wojahn at pwojahn@nmsu.edu. Please include the subject line “CAMPER’S NAME: Ink Spilling Registration.”

Cash or check ($50) must be submitted to the address provided on the form.
